Kilt Guilt is a fictional Scottish ale brand created by a fake entity called Backyard Brewing. This was a project for a college branding class that involved developing logos, branding, packaging, and a final 6-pack mockup.

Kilt Guilt is a fictional Scottish ale brand created for Backyard Brewing, centered around crafting a bold and memorable identity that stands out on the shelf. The project encompassed logo design, brand identity, packaging, and a six-pack carrier, with a focus on creating a cohesive visual system that reflected the brand's personality while maintaining consistency across every customer touchpoint. From typography and color palette to illustration and packaging, each design decision worked together to deliver an authentic and engaging brand experience.
Research focused on Scottish culture, drawing inspiration from traditional symbols, tartan patterns, and the bold visual identity of Scottish national team kit designs. The name Kilt Guilt guided the creative direction, influencing the use of kilt-inspired textures and design elements to create a cohesive and authentic brand identity.
Using insights gathered during research, I explored multiple logo, typography, and packaging concepts that captured the bold, playful personality of the Kilt Guilt brand. The strongest visual elements were refined into a cohesive identity, ensuring every design decision from the logo to the six-pack packaging worked together to create an authentic brand experience.
The design process began with gathering inspiration, followed by sketching ideas and refining visual concepts. Key elements such as colors, symbols, logos, and text were chosen for the packaging. Once the design was finalized digitally, it was printed and assembled into a mockup for the final presentation.
