Nube is a fictional airline, similar to Delta or American Airlines. This project involved designing a functional airline app with features typical of a real airline. A multitude of skills were required to be used during the creative process.

Nube is a made up airline created to explore the design of a modern airline booking experience from the ground up. The project combined brand identity development with UI/UX design, resulting in a fully functional airline app that features flight search, booking, and trip management. The primary challenge was creating a cohesive visual identity and seamlessly integrating it throughout the interface to deliver an intuitive, realistic, and engaging user experience.
Research centered on analyzing leading airline apps to identify common user flows, essential features, and interface patterns that contribute to a seamless booking experience. I also explored user preferences in color, typography, and visual hierarchy to develop a brand identity that felt modern, trustworthy, and consistent throughout the app, creating an experience that mirrors the usability and polish of a real-world airline.
Based on research findings, I developed user personas to better understand the needs, goals, and behaviors of potential travelers while studying competing airline apps to identify industry standards and opportunities for differentiation. These insights guided the creation and refinement of wireframes, navigation, branding, and interface components, resulting in a cohesive design system that delivers an intuitive and familiar user experience while giving Nube its own distinct identity.
The design process began with gathering inspiration, followed by sketching and refining visual concepts. Key design elements, including colors, logos, and text, were selected. After finalizing the sketches, wireframing was done to plan the app’s layout and functionality. The final design was developed based on the wireframe with minor adjustments to ensure a polished result.
